the final thought
falls
like water
raindrop on a desert plane
waiting to be swallowed
as if second nature
must
bring back harvest again
a final trial
before the circle will win
a chance to sleep
one last night
until the morning begins
so let us hold this peace
this moment,
be still in time
and freeze all thought …
… until we're ready
to go back on the line
reflections left to rest
lay down your constant war
agree
to neither sun nor moon
and take on
this solitary voyage
to guide the sea to shore

Had I known
had I not
already known
what your arms
around my body
feel like
your skin on mine
our breath confined
to the space
where our thoughts connect
and our souls entwine
then I'd known
there cannot be a truth
in what they say
for it must be infinitely better
to have never loved …
than losing
what has since
become our fate
but then again …
it is too late
..
already known
what your arms
around my body
feel like
your skin on mine
our breath confined
to the space
where our thoughts connect
and our souls entwine
then I'd known
there cannot be a truth
in what they say
for it must be infinitely better
to have never loved …
than losing
what has since
become our fate
but then again …
it is too late

Lay me down
through the trees
I watch the clouds
hide the moon
just like me
feigning disinterest
as if winter didn't start
too soon
snowflakes slowly fall
and cover my brown hair
until there's no more me
until I'm no longer aware
the numbness that surrounds me
will kiss my dreams to sleep
world enclosed in silence
in which I've falling in too deep
can you give me my serenity
and release my weakened pulse
hear my cry for isolation
…
let me grow …
underneath this blanket
covered world
..
I watch the clouds
hide the moon
just like me
feigning disinterest
as if winter didn't start
too soon
snowflakes slowly fall
and cover my brown hair
until there's no more me
until I'm no longer aware
the numbness that surrounds me
will kiss my dreams to sleep
world enclosed in silence
in which I've falling in too deep
can you give me my serenity
and release my weakened pulse
hear my cry for isolation
…
let me grow …
underneath this blanket
covered world
