... if I could wish myself away
Change this pace
Mind numbing,
Feet stumbling,
Pain
Not just,
Please,
Just melt away
Out with the pour
Drowning by st((r)ain)

Mashed up
Rolling drums
Vocal gongs
Warbled song
Raging Storm
Bright light
Take in lightning
Head breaks
Heart aches
Resilience aging
Unjust caging me
Back to youth
No one to sooth
Patience be gone
Ocean just run
Dunes hold on
I am all sorts of messed up

Dream n.: a state of abstraction
I love that room,
paintshopped by hand
Every layered addition,
a work of personal art
You make me happy with your
composed sense of intricate humour
Are you aware nobody (else) seems to understand?
Go easy on the furnishings, though
They have a tendency to explode
Distraction
n.
: collapse from vision overload

Aging conquest
Show me your lines
And I show you forty-something reasons
To stop dressing up the years
..
In my own defence
I am weak
And I am strong in execution
I hide behind my pretence
Not to notice
Solely for reasons of uncertainty
I do not know your name,
Your real name,
Through eyes that speak
Of pain and suffering,
Of want and need
A question unasked
An answer not given
A soul is missing
Its counterpart
And I am weak
In forgiving
My facing away
..
Evading art
There’s an emergency exit
on the cover
of every single book I read
And I turn the handle
that breaks me free
from the jacket
that is my disguise

Inundate
This is a place of rain
But only if you see it
I am perfectly folded inside
In squares and rectangles
Smaller and smaller, I fit
Until I no longer feel
That jagged shape
Causing too many canyons

On being blind
I hear the keys that turn the lock
Docking the piano strings
In phrases
O how you sing
Your jaw grinds, slightly
When you wind down that road
From disbelieve
But I can’t see
We grieve
In dark tones
Teach ourselves
In endless tomes
On Sunday morning
You write me when it rains
Let it pour
Out of you, out of me
And drink it in
My favourite sound, I feel
You are within
Always
Within reach

By association
I’ve got myself a new notebook
and decided not to write in it
holding my breath until I nearly faint
coming up, grasping for air
exhilarating zest, always
at the tip of my tongue
bittersweet until I dive back under
trying to dissolve
